DPS Pinjore, in collaboration with the DPS Education Management Centre (EMC) in New Delhi, which is the nerve-centre of the Delhi Public School Society, designs and implements its own curriculum and tries to ensure that the students and their teachers have as much flexibility as possible to foster child centred learning. DPS Pinjore follows the CBSE syllabi within which, flexibility of methodology and the use of experiential learning systems is strongly encouraged, which help eliminate the need to learn by rote and develop a healthy and positive attitude towards learning. Our system of evaluation takes into account the individualities of different children to provide adequate feedback on the student’s learning without putting undue pressure. As the child progresses through the classes, the assessment is gradually modified to prepare external tests and competitive exams.

The important feature of D.P.S. is that learning here is an interactive process in which children are allowed to explore and learn with hands-on material. The School provides a facilitating environment for the growth of young minds through a curriculum designed keeping in view the value based education required for stressless learning.

D.P.S schools follow a holistic approach in teaching. The class room is interactive and is appropriately supported by multimedia teaching aids. Group discussions, seminars, visits by eminent guest faculty / speakers, field visits, project work, inter and intra school literacy, cultural, sport and information technology activities form an integral part of learning at school.

Psychological development is not uniform across individuals, it occurs at different rates in different persons. For Nursery & Junior classes (up to II) students are graded and promoted based on regular Bi-monthly assessments instead of the traditional testing method of semester examinations, which lay undue stress on the child.

For Classes IIIrd onwards, Cycle Test for each subject start from the second week of April hence completing two cycles per subject before the Half yearly Examination scheduled in September. Two more Cycles  Tests are held before the commencement of Annual Examination in March. Every cycle Test carries 25 marks.

The assessment for the Half Yearly are as follows: -

Cycle Test 20%
Half Yearly Examination 80%
Total 100%

The Assessment for the Annual Examination are as follows :-

Cycle Test 20%
