“Parent’s Day, which falls on 22nd July, was celebrated with reverence and a joyous spirit in DPS Pinjore today. While the tiny-tots sang to the glory of their parents and made beautiful cards to gift them tomorrow, the elders used words in a poetic medium as well as prose to express their feelings for their parents in a creative writing competition organized for them to mark this important day .They wrote on the topics “Why I adore my Parents:”My Parents: My inspiration”; My Role Model; My Parents or Others”.
A Youth Forum conducted by Ms Vandana Sharma and Ms Neelam Sharma provided the young orators a platform to come up with innovative ideas to celebrate the parent’s day in a most special way. Besides this they discussed the importance of the parents in a person’s life. Blessed are those who have Parents, was the gist of the discussion.
The Principal Mr Samson Masih endorsing the children’s point of view said that there is no substitute for the love bestowed by the parents on their child We Indians, he added that we are fortunate to have this love throughout our lives . He also commented that there can be good and bad parenting but the parents are always good affectionate and so very loving. Therefore it is our utmost duty to respect them.
Dr (Mrs ) Bimla Arora, Member Management, had an interactive session with the students. She asked them as to how they will make the parents make a really special and memorable for their parents Adding that parents should be revered like God for God cannot be everywhere, therefore he created the parents.
Dr. Kiran Prabhakar thanked the speakers and urged the students to be obedient, respectful caring and sensitive children so that the parents always feel proud of them.
