HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATED

Hindi Diwas was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in DPS,Pinjore on 14th September 2016.An informative morning assembly consisting of Hindi news, thought, poems, facts etc was conducted to make the students aware about the importance of our national language. An Inter house Hindi poem recitation competition for class 3, Doha recitation for class 4 and Shloka recitation for class 5 was held to celebrate this day.

70TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AND FELICITATION CEREMONY HELD AT DPS PINJORE

Scenes of jubilation and expressions of gratitude towards the freedom fighters marked the 70th
Independence Day Celebrations at DPS Pinjore. The school was decorated tastefully highlighting three colours
of the Tricolour – saffron, white and green  to provide national spirit to the whole programme. The celebrations
commenced with the flag hoisting by the Principal Ms. Amita Dhaka along with the Head girl , Prerna Arora so as to
empower girl child . A short cultural programme with patriotic fervour  presented by the enthusiastic students enthralled
the audience. A slogan writing competition on the theme independence was held for the students. Parents were also invited to
express their feelings through slogan writing. An impressive Felicitation Ceremony was also held to honour the academic
excellence of the students. It was a very proud moment for the students and the parents of classes 10th,
11th and 12th who performed exceptionally well in academics in the session 2015-16.
Their efforts were recognized by awarding them with scholar Badges, medals and trophies. Congratulating the
gathering on this National Day and appreciating the efforts of the winners, the Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka
exhorted everyone to be disciplined, magnanimous and broadminded in their approach towards life. The celebrations
concluded with the distribution of sweets.

PINJORE DIPSITES SHOWCASE THEIR SKILLS

DPS Pinjore organized Skill based Inter House Competition such as Just A Minute for classes 6, 7 & 8, Extempore for classes 9 & 10 and Collage Making for classes 11 and 12. The students actively participated and displayed various skills with great enthusiasm and zeal. Reetika Kala bagged the first position in ‘Just A Minute’. Bhoomi Thakur and Nitin Vasudevan clinched the second & third position respectively. Mounil Garg and Anishka Piplani grabbed the first and second position respectively in Extempore while the third position was secured by Aditi Ramesh Yadav and Jhanvi Joshi. Ganga House, Jhelum House and Yamuna House secured the first, second and third position respectively in Collage Making Competition. Ms. Shilpi Sharma, Headmistress congratulated the students for their outstanding performance.

Investiture Ceremony at DPS Pinjore

With recharged energy, it was just the right time to take a step towards enhancing the management and leadership skills of the students. In order to cultivate a sense of responsibility and the power to be disciplined, the member of the student council and the school cabinet assembled in the school hall to be sworn in during the Investiture Ceremony held at DPS Pinjore on 23rd July, 2016. Dr. D.R. Arora, Pro-Vice Chairman was the chief guest. Dr. (Mrs.) B. Arora, Member Managing Committee, DPS Pinjore graced the occasion as guest of honour. Welcoming the proud parents of the school council and cabinet, the Principal Ms. Amita Dhaka advised the new members to work selflessly for the welfare of the institution. Congratulating the sworn in members Mrs. Arora advised them to follow five C’s by being conscious, compassionate, consistent, courageous and committed towards their goal.
