DPS PINJORE SPARKLES IN 6TH ULTIMATE GOLF JUNIOR TOURNAMENT

Abhimanyu Dhara studying in class 6th of DPS Pinjore grabbed the 1st position in the ‘6th Ultimate Golf Junior Tournament’ held on 3rd May at Panchkula Golf Club, Haryana. He played 18 holes in 12 overs. He was honoured with a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.

D.P.S PINJORE WINS THE DISTRICT BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR GIRLS FOR THE FOURTH TIME IN A ROW

Delhi Public School,Pinjore,U-19 Basketball team (Girls)defeated  Bhavan Vidyalaya Sec -15 Panchkula to become  the winners for the fourth time in a row in the District Basketball Championship held at Sports Complex,Sector-3, Panchkula from October 6 to 8, 2014. In the final match DPS Pinjore dominated the game throughout and emerged winners by defeating the opponents by 14-0.The Winning team comprised of Aashima Godara(Captain) Simran ,Chanta,Kanishka Tomer,Vibhuti Sachdeva,Saumya Raj, Jasneet kaur & Shailja Narayan.

D.P.S PINJORE FOOTBALLERS SHINE FOR THE EIGHTH TIME IN A ROW

Panchkula District organized a Football Tournament from 6th to 8th Oct 2014 at Tau Devilal Stadium, Sec-3, Panchkula. Our Football team participated in U-19 category and brought laurels to the school by clinching the coveted Trophy for the eighth time in a row .The Participants of the winning team were Param Walia(Captain) ,Bhupinder Sharma, Gaganpreet Singh,Amritanshu Raj,Amit Chillar,Mayank Ahuja,Thinlais Dorjay,Himanshu Gulati,Abhinav Dhiman,Sambhav,Keshav, Kishore Kumar,Aditya Jha,Rajat Mahendru,Sachin Bhati,&Siddharth Bhati. DPS Pinjore defeated Army Public School Chandimandir by 2-1 and became the District Football Champions for the Eighth time in a row. Abhinav Dhiman was the main Scorer who scored both the goals.

Alberton Cricket Club Team Johannesberg. South Africa visited the pristine campus of Delhi Public School Pinjore to play Under 17 Cricket series with the host team from December 14 to 16, 2010. The team enjoyed the warmth of hospitality extended by DPS Pinjore organizers during their stay. In all 2 matches were played both the matches were won by South Africa. The visitors found the students very well-behaved and the staff extremely helpful during their stay in the DPS hostel. The sumptuous meals were enjoyed by all the team members and they departed with fond and happy memories.

A visit to the famous Pinjore Garden organized for them by the host school was an added attraction for the visitors as the Heritage Festival was going on in the beautiful historical Mughal Gardens.

Such cultural exchange programmes provide a wonderful platform for different countries to come closer and help convert the world into a Global village.

The South African team after having played with DPS Pinjore is scheduled to play at Chandigarh before leaving for Delhi. Their itinerary includes a visit to the Golden Temple, Amritsar and the famous Taj Mahal at Agra.

The Delhi Public School, Pinjore Coach Mr. Ajay Bhardwaj was all praise for the South Africans and the South African Coach Mr. Albertus Laas alongwith the Team Mother Ms. Madelein Laas reciprocated his compliment saying ‘It was the most memorable and enjoyable visit for them.
