Delhi Public School, Pinjore has always encouraged and taken various initiatives to provide innovative and creative hands on experiential learning to their students. This approach aims at providing a common platform to all the students and teachers to pursue their natural curiosity, gain experience and give shape to their innovative ideas in various subjects like Science, Commerce, Psychology and many more learning spheres. Joyous children bubbling with energy, talent and creativity celebrated the OPEN DAY, a grand amalgamation of art, talent and creativity with vivacity on 24th Dec, 2016 at DPS Pinjore. The school was abuzz with a plethora of activities. Exhibition of various subjects showcasing students’ creativity, scientific & mathematical skills, computing skills, language skills, artistic skills and sports skills highly impressed the parents who were invited to come, encourage and motivate the students. Vacuum cleaner made up of discarded bottle, washing machine run by pedaling bicycle, automatic magnetic power saving street lights, project on global warming, seven wonders of the world and laser technology based automatic security system were the highlight of Science exhibition. They were competent enough to be a building block for a would be start up.  The ‘Circus’ and ‘Save Nature’ display by the tiny tots stole the heart of one and all present besides strongly conveying the message of protecting animals and nature. The newly added 3D Science lab, Synthetic skating rink, badminton and lawn tennis court were the centre of attraction for the visitors.Felicitation ceremony was held in the school to decorate those who had been meritorious in academics and other co-curricular activities. An impressive cultural programme with Christmas fervour and enthusiasm marked the day. Dr. D. R. Arora, Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Pinjore, Dr.(Mrs.) Bimla Arora and Dr. (Mrs.) Inderjit Singh, ex – Professor, Head of the Department, Food & Nutrition, Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, graced the occasion with their benign presence. They lauded the efforts of the students and congratulated them for their accomplishments. The Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka wished everyone merry Christmas and a happy new year and urged the students to be conscientious, dedicated and sincere in whatever they do.

To mark Gurunanak’s birthday, Guruparv was celebrated in DPS Pinjore with a great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was held comprising of a motivational thought, an informative speech, and poems depicting the importance of the day. Shabads were also recited by the students. Through this celebration, the students were motivated to imbibe the feelings of love, peace and brotherhood in their life.



‘The impact of a teacher lasts forever’ how true the adage is . The students of DPS Pinjore paid a glowing tribute to their teachers on 5th September. It was an altogether different and a wonderful experience for the teachers who enjoyed the celebrations to the hilt. The day commenced with a special assembly in which students presented poems, speeches, songs and skit to thank their teachers. An impressive cultural show studded with dances, songs and radiant tributes to their mentors and guides was presented by the students.. The students showed their love and gratitude towards their teachers through cards, flowers and lovely titles.Each and every teacher was made to feel special. All the teachers took an oath to become a good teacher and serve the nation in true spirit. The Principal, Ms Amita Dhaka congratulated all  the teachers on this auspicious occasion. Dr. D.R. Arora, Chairman, DPS Pinjore and Dr.(Mrs.) Bimla Arora, Member Management Committee, DPS Pinjore graced the occasion. Mrs.Arora reminded the students about the role of a teacher in everyone’s life She inspired them to always respect their teachers and establish a good rapport with them for an effective teaching and learning process. The cultural bonanza was followed by a sumptuous lunch for the staff.

Investiture Ceremony at DPS Pinjore

Investiture Ceremony 23rd July, 2016

With recharged energy, it was just the right time to take a step towards enhancing the management and leadership skills of the students. In order to cultivate a sense of responsibility and the power to be disciplined, the member of the student council and the school cabinet assembled in the school hall to be sworn in during the Investiture Ceremony held at DPS Pinjore on 23rd July, 2016. Dr. D.R. Arora, Pro-Vice Chairman was the chief guest. Dr. (Mrs.) B. Arora, Member Managing Committee, DPS Pinjore graced the occasion as guest of honour. Welcoming the proud parents of the school council and cabinet, the Principal Ms. Amita Dhaka advised the new members to work selflessly for the welfare of the institution. Congratulating the sworn in members Mrs. Arora advised them to follow five C’s by being conscious, compassionate, consistent, courageous and committed towards their goal.

Christmas Celebration at DPS Pinjore

“May your Christmas be merry, filled with fun and laughter,
And may each day bring joy your way, in the year that follows after.”

These words echoed from every nook and corner of DPS, Pinjore during the week long Christmas celebrations in the school ,commencing from Dec 15th to Dec 20th Christmas fervour and enthusiasm was spread throughout the week as the school was abuzz with various competitions and activities like creative writing in the form of poems, articles and slogans, poster and collage making, visit to a church, candle decoration, decorating a Christmas tree and the class board. The theme of all these was Christmas. Best presentations were awarded. The celebrations concluded with Grand Christmas Celebrations on Dec 22. The students sang melodious carols, gave speeches, poems, enacted nativity scene and presented scintillating dance performances. Best decorated Class rooms in various categories were rewarded for their arduous efforts. Dr. D.R. Arora, Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Pinjore graced the occasion with his benign presence. The celebrations were a confluence of vibrant colours, jubilance ,creativity and artistic talent of the students. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Mr.Samson Masih motivated the students to follow the true spirit and message of Christmas and emerge as better human beings.
