“Time for some splashing fun; Cheers and jolly time for everyone”. With this joyful thought in mind, students of Delhi Public School, Pinjore Celebrated Toon Track Task: Annual Athletic Meet And Drill Display on the auspicious occasion of 125th birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru. To mark this day DPS, Pinjore celebrated Children’s Day by organizing a plethora of activities. The school resonated with many activities. The occasion commenced with a unique, thoughtfully presented cultural programme by the teachers. Humorous skits, mime, songs, parody and finally Bhangra presented by the teachers to express their love and affection towards their students made the day truly a special and memorable one. An Adventure camp at Siswan was organized for senior boys and a special movie show at INOX was planned for senior girls.

The much awaited ‘Toon Track Task’ of Pre- Primary and Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Pinjore was held with great fun and frolic on 14TH November, 2017 in the School Sports Complex. The students presented an impressive display of drills, cartoon races and a cultural bonanza where in various hues of physical activities were woven in to form a colourful tapestry. This rainbow not only highlighted the achievements of students but was aimed at ensuring hundred percent participation of all the students thus fulfilling the school’s constant endeavour to help in all round development of all its pupils. The school was tastefully decorated. The atmosphere was completely surcharged with ovation. Dr. Richa Rathee, SDM Kalka was the Chief Guest. She was given a ceremonial guard of honour by the young Dipsites who marched in perfect coordination and harmony. Dr. D.R.Arora, Chairman, D.P.S. Pinjore and Dr. (Mrs.) Bimla Arora, member, Management Committee graced the occasion with their benign presence. The school choir extended a hearty welcome with a melodious welcome song which was followed by introduction of the Toon squad. The Principal Ms. Amita Dhaka extended a formal welcome to the Guests and also presented the Annual Sports Report of the Junior Block highlighting the remarkable achievements of the sportsmen in various sports this year.


‘Childhood is about innocence and playfulness. It is about joy and freedom’. Junior Sports Day TOON-TRACK-TASK with theme cartoons was held in which the children of Pre-Primary and Primary wing dressed up as cartoons participated in various drills and fun races. The Pre Primary children displayed lots of zeal and enthusiasm while doing the Fun and Fitness drills. They enjoyed and had loads of fun while competing in the fun races for the winner’s place dressed up as Doremon, Tweety, Chotta Bheem and Chutki. The students of class I and II spread the brightness of colours in the Ribbon Ray Drill where they showcased their talent by displaying perfect coordination.They dressed up as Tom And Jerry, Donald And Daisy Duck, Minnie  and Micky Mouse, Power Puff Girls And Pokemon  to perform the  different track tasks. The Minnie Micky Pair Race, The Donald Duck Hurdle Race, The Daisy Duck Zigzag Race And Powerpuff Girls- Dress Me Up Race were the highlights of the event which were enjoyed by one and all. The ardous efforts of the students in the fields were rewarded with glorious prizes.

To give a boost to mental astuteness and physical alertness various drills were displayed with great flexibility and grace. A VIBGYOR drill was presented by the students of classes 3 and 4 depicting a spectrum of different colours. ‘Together We Stand’, an impressive drill of classes 3,4 and 5 was presented to show the strength of unity.‘Celebrating Childhood’, a soulful dance presented by the Dipsites took the audience down the memory lane of their childhood days. The grounds of the School were enlivened up by the enthralling Fun Relay Race presented by the students.

The track and field events saw the participants toiling hard to climb the victory stand. The onerous efforts of the students in the fields were rewarded with medals and certificates in the Prize Distribution Ceremonies. A Grand Finale to the colourful extravaganza was provided by the most lively ‘Tug ‘O’ War’ for the guest fathers and ‘Celebrating Womanhood’, races for the guest mothers. These races drew a wide applause from one and all. Arduous efforts put in the training of the students could be easily seen in the standard of excellence with which the students performed the drills. The efforts of the children were appreciated with a big round of applause from one and all present.

The Chief Guest congratulated the school for its glorious achievements in various fields and praised the school for organizing such a wonderful sports event which she said must have helped children to identify, chisel and also showcase their talent. Dr. (Mrs.) Arora motivated the students to participate in sports and games for their all round development. She advised the parents to encourage their children in all their endeavors by being present in their moments of achievements and make those moments memorable.  The function concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Head Mistress, Ms. Shipi Sharma. With the resonance of mirth and frolic in the blue expanse of the crystal sky, the glory of celebrations brought satisfaction in the hearts of one and all. The hope of showcasing the unsurmountable comprehensive potentials of the students in the years to come, brought the celebrations to a close.


Skill Saturday with the theme Respect and Regard was celebrated by the students of primary wing at DPS Pinjore. A special assembly was organized to motivate young dipsites to respect and regard their elders and implement these values in their lives. The teachers narrated different stories and a puppet show on family values was shown to the children to make them aware about the importance of grandparents in their lives. Students also participated in a variety of activities like collage making on values and making love you cards for their grandparents and prepared a non-fire dish for them. The students visited the senior citizens home at sector 15 Panchkula. The students bonded warmly with the elderly, interacted with them and entertained them with a dance performance. The senior citizens affectionately shared their life experiences with the students. The visit was an eye opener for the students and they promised to take care of their grandparents.

World literacy day celebrated at DPS PINJORE

World literacy day was celebrated with great zest and zeal by the little angels of preprimary wing of DPS  PINJORE. A magic show was organized to make them aware about the importance of the education .They visited the school library and were exposed to the fascinating world of books. They spent quality time  there browsing through the story books followed by a story session with the teachers. They pledged to  work hard to get educated and educate others.


‘The impact of a teacher lasts forever’ how true is this adage. The students of DPS Pinjore paid a glowing tribute to their teachers on 5th September. It was an altogether different and a wonderful experience for the teachers who enjoyed the celebrations to the hilt. An impressive cultural show studded with dances, songs and radiant tributes to their mentors and guides was presented by the students. The students showed their love and gratitude towards their teachers through cards and lovely titles. Each and every teacher was made to feel special. Dr. D.R. Arora, Chairman, DPS Pinjore and Dr. (Mrs.) Bimla Arora, Member Management Committee, DPS Pinjore congratulated all the teachers on this auspicious occasion. The Principal, Ms Amita Dhaka reminded the students about the role of a teacher in everyone’s life.She inspired them to always respect their teachers and establish a good rapport with them for an effective teaching and learning process. The cultural bonanza was followed by a sumptuous treat for the staff.


Scenes of jubilation and expressions of gratitude towards the freedom fighters marked the 71st Independence Day Celebrations at DPS Pinjore.
