Plash the environmental club of the school has been very active since the very beginning of the session. The members of this club, along with their guide teachers, visited the Mallah Nursery to get acquainted with more plants and trees and feel one with nature.
What better way to bring out a child from a groom
than presenting him a bunch of colourful balloons.

Laugh and smile, be happy and gay

It makes you happy, doesn’t anything cost.
The celebration of the World laughter day is a positive gesture towards world peace, an effort to build a global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter as it makes the body release certain “feel Good “ hormones which generate happiness,warmth,love,tolerance,forgiveness,generosity and compassion.
We at DPS Pinjore made the children laugh and enjoy in an Inter house Hasya Kavita Path competition. Kavi after Kavi from different houses presented their humorous poems getting their due in the form of appreciation as each one of them was applauded by the audience whole heartedly. This joy- cocktail of
Laughter made everyone enjoy the present moment to the hilt as laughter brings a person totally in the present .

Arnav Aggarwal of class 7 spoke on the topic “Why We Celebrate Laughter Day .He shared the knowledge with all his school mates how, who and with what purpose gave the concept of this day.
Be happy and spread happiness all around –was the message of the day.
Fortunate are those who have had the opportunity to study and become literate. Literacy makes one privileged and prepares him to accept the challenges of life with courage and conviction that ‘I can overcome any hurdle’ The children were made to realise that there is no match in the fate of a literate and illiterate person therefore it is the responsibility of every educated person to share and impart his knowledge to the less fortunate illiterate people. There is no age bar on learning. One can teach people of any age and help them to overcome many hurdles caused by illiteracy. The message of the special assembly conducted to celebrate this day was.
If each one to teach one.
There will be illiterate none.
Children presented poems, thoughts and gave talk on the significance of celebrating this day.
The Principal Mr. Samson Masih also urged the students to share their good fortune with the Have- nots and make them equipped with the three most important Rs ‘Reading, Writing, Arithmetic’
Students of classes 9-12 left the school early in the morning to visit the famous Pushpa Gujral Science Park, Kapurthala on Nov 8, 2012. Besides this educative visit in which they had the opportunity to see the latest advancement in the field of science, they enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast at Haveli, Jalandhar and lunch at Science City. These students came back feeling enriched and happy.
