Happy hearts, happy faces and happy atmosphere – that’s what the good results bring with them. In class X, 109 students appeared for the CBSE 2011-12 examination, out of them 10 have scored a perfect CGPA of 10 points; while 25 secured A1; 26 – A2’s; 30-B1’s and 24-B2’s. The children have given the school a cause to rejoice.

The Principal Mr. Samson Masih congratulated all the achievers and urged them to keep up the good performance in future too.

17-5-2012: The Times of India, in collaboration with Mr Vishal Sharma from Bulls Eye conducted a career counseling workshop for students of classes XI and XII.

Today’s world  being a fiercely competitive world, it becomes imperative that right career path is chosen at the earliest possible stage. However to steer through the competition, pre-planning is needed for which the students were told about exciting career options after +2. They were motivated to think beyond Medical and Engineering related career options and were also apprised about other lucrative careers in law, Management, Defense   services and Accountancy etc. Students were also familiarized with various top colleges of the country that offer courses for the above mentioned careers, their eligibility criteria, kind of entrance tests conducted by them and also salary packages offered by various companies for these jobs.

The workshop was a great learning opportunity for the students.

17-5-2012 : An Inter house humorous skit presentation saw the participants display their acting talent  doing full justice to the themes chosen for the skits. While Ganga House presented a satire coated with humour as the statue of Mahatma Gandhi is robbed of all its belongings one by one by the countrymen: Jhelum House put up a social cause of female Feticide in a most humorous manner. The actors(two young boys) expressed their heartfelt desire to get married but are unable to do so as there are no girls available to be the brides .Navkiran and Satvik ,as the willing grooms  with their colloquial accent, stole the show. The most amazing fact that came to light during the skit competition was how absolutely serious topics can be handled and presented in an absolutely lighter vain. Dahej Pratha , another serious issue was tackled with a humorous touch  by Yamuna House while Sutlej house presented a naughty boy with all the tricks up his sleeve.

The appreciative audience lauded every presentation whole heartedly and had a hearty laugh as one after other the participants entertained them.

The coordinator Dr Kiran Prabhakar congratulated the houses for their efforts and thanked them for the wonderful show. The result of the competition is as follows:

First position: Jhelum House: Second Position : Yamuna House : Third position : Ganga House.

The Principal Mr. Samson masih also appreciated the presentations and congratulated the winners.

Adolescent Education Programme for girls conducted by Simply Health PlusPosted by anthony on May 15th, 2012

April 28, 2012                     Adolescence being a transitional stage of physical and psychological human development. Hence Adolescence was discussed in a holistic approach.

The main aim of AEP was to support youngsters in

1) Knowing about themselves, their adolescence

2) Developing and reinforcing life skills

3) Also dispelling Myths and clarifying misconceptions

Puberty was also discussed about as being a milestone in this age. Changes and Growth Processes taking place both inside and outside were talked about.

Emotional and mental changes, such as, mood swings, peer pressure, seeking relative independence was also discussed.

Light Yogic exercises and importance of Nutrient rich diet was emphasized upon.

In end queries were taken up to satiate the quench of knowledge.

Delhi Public School, Pinjore Celebrates Mother’s Day in a Special WayPosted by anthony on May 15th, 2012

11-05-12               DPS Pinjore celebrated  Mother’s Day today with great enthusiasm. The special invitees of the day, proud mothers  were given a  hearty welcome. The venue for the celebration was decorated tastefully. After a formal welcome by Dr. Kiran Prabhakar, Coordinator, The Principal Mr. Samson Masih greeted the mothers and wished a Happy Mother’s Day adding that Mothers ought to be revered and respected for their unfathomable,  invaluable love and affection that they bestow not only on their children but the entire family. Dr. Mrs. Bimla Arora, Member Management DPS Pinjore and Mrs. Diana Masih, Counselor of the school also graced the occasion. The children expressed their gratitude in the form of melodious songs: ‘Tujhe Sab hai Pata Meri Maa’, ‘ Tu Kitani Acchi Hai’ .

A host of activities organized for the mothers commenced with mothers singing melodious numbers like ‘Mere ghar aai ek nanhi pari…’, ‘bachche man ke sachche…’,’Gudia si pari Meri ladli…’,’yeh Kagaz ki Kashti…’, etc. getting loud applause for their confident participation and providing melody to the programme with these touching songs. This singing competition was followed by the invaluable mothering tips presented by the mothers for who can give these tips better than the mothers.  Dr. (Mrs.) Bimla Arora added to these Mothering tips to enlighten the august gathering about how to be an ideal mother as she is an expert in this field .

A Hasya Kavita Path that followed this programme was enjoyed thoroughly by the guests, who appreciated the efforts of young, budding poets wholeheartedly. The mothers then took part in a painting and writing (write any funny experience of motherhood) competitions revealing their hidden talent and winning prizes for these.

Alongside these competitions the elimination and Musical statues- two games were organized to make the mother s enjoy, every moment of this special day of theirs.

The dance competition that followed was the highlight of the celebrations as the nimble footed dancers mesmerised with their performances-making everyone think- How much talent is hidden in every second person in this beautiful world of ours.

After the dance competition the beautiful, charming and elegantly dressed  damsels came onto the ramp and stole the show. Some beauty tips were given by f D’Head Lounge, a beauty parlor in Amravati Enclave who also sponsored the Mothers Day  gifts

Winners of all the competitions – sing smart, speak smart, walk smart, write smart, paint smart, dance smart were given away gift hampers by Dr.(Mrs.) Bimla Arora who congratulated all participants appreciating their participation.

The finale of the celebration saw all the mothers on the stage dancing to their hearts delight as the MC’s Ms. Sonia Khanna and Ms. Surabhi Sehgal played the foot tapping music for them. Dr. Kiran Prabhakar thanked the entire guest for making their own day all the more special by attending the function and honouring the school with their benign presence. The important message of the day was well taken by the mothers,” Be Happy, and spread happiness and make the entire society and the world a better place to live in .
